casa Lavanda (Lavender in Spanish) - is a large and spacious, traditional, Castillion-style villa with south facing orientation and lovely open valley views within the 'Valle del Portet' (El Portet valley), just off the 'Cami de la Viuda' road that runs down to the sea. Set within a larger than average plot of 1750 m2, with lovely mature trees, and within a desirable residential area, the villa is close to the lovely, family-friendly, gently-shelving, sandy beach of 'El Portet' (within an easy 15-20 minute walk), where you will find some bars and restaurants.
Situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, with similarly large and exclusive villa, double metal gates allow you entrance to a drive to car parking for several cars.
A slight ramp brings you to the pool terrace and entrance to the villas.
This makes it suitable for wheelchair users but there are two steps upto the ground floor accommodation, and a further 1-2 steps down to some of the bedrooms.
Through patio doors you enter:-
Ground floor Accommodation - A large living room furnished with two two-seater sofas, dining suite for 6, leading onto a modern fully-fitted kitchen with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and a large fridge/freezer. From here a separate utility room has a washing machine and ironing facilities.
Returning to the living room, a hallway leads to the bedrooms. The first bedroom has a single bed, the second is larger and has a single bed, with a slide-out further single bed (ideal as a children's bedroom), and a bedroom with a king-size bed. A modern family bathroom services these bedrooms and has a bath, with shower over, toilet and a wash basin.
Returning to the hallway, a staircase leads upto:-
First floor accommodation - The large bright living room is furnished with a three and two-seater sofa suite and a Satellite Television* and DVD player. Off an internal hallway, leads onto a bedroom with a king-size bed, a modern family bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. There is a master bedroom suite with a king-size bed, Satellite Television*, DVD player and en-suite bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, toilet, bidet and wash basin.
Returning to the living room, there is a separate dining room with a table and 6 chairs, leading onto a modern fully-fitted kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. This leads onto a conservatory, furnished with a wicker sofa suite, and patio doors lead out to a large roof terrace - there is direct access from the living room also.
Outside - The large first floor terrace has an enclosed area, with built-in barbecue, for al fresco dining whilst enjoying the views. This patio is also equipped with an outside dining suite. There is an additional terrace to the back of the villa, with a built-in barbecue, should you want a different aspect.
Steps lead directly down to the pool terrace. The large 10 x 5 metre rectangular swimming pool, with Roman steps access, has a surrounding sun terrace and terraced gardens. Internet Access - A free ADSL broadband connection is available for guests' use. You must take your own device to connect up: accessed by the router in the living room, instructions at the villa.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a subscription service. However, it is not a guaranteed facility as the service could go down (possibly due to problems with connection, tampering by previous guests, etc). This facility is provided by the owner for your enjoyment and the local contact will not be able to help with technical assistance should you require it. We cannot be held responsible for any failure of the service by the telephone provider, as any repair to the service is dependent on the telephone company. Internet cafes in town are available should you require them in the event of any failure. Air-conditioning and warm-air heating - units in each of the bedrooms, charged extra based upon meter readings taken at the beginning and end of your stay.
