All-inclusive Question: What does "all-inclusive" mean? Answer: All bungalows are fully self-contained but from 1 January 2008 the cost, per person, would include:- Accommodation in requested bungalow, including relevant services; All meals & drinks, as stipulated; Entertainment for the whole family; On-site facilities. Q: Do I have to have 'all-inclusive'? A: Yes. Although the accommodation is equipped for self-catering, the on-site facilities provide excellent services and we feel that it can only be maintained when all guests are using this. Back to Top Rates Q: I don't understand the rates? A: They are quite confusing! The rates shown for 2007 are for the self-catering bungalow for the week. 2008 rates are explained below:- The rates shown are per-adult for the week, with conditions for the various sizes T1 one bedroom (2-3 adults or 2 adults + 1-2 children max) - the minimum charge is for 2 adults (30% discount for the third person) and 50% discount for children. T2 two bedroom (4-5 adults or 4 adults + 1-2 children max) - the minimum charge is for 4 adults (30% discount for the fifth person) and 50% discount for children. T3 three bedroom (6-7 adults or 6 adults + 1-2 children max) - the minimum charge is for 6 adults (30% discount for the seventh person) and 50% discount for children. Minimum stay 7 nights, less nights upon request. Supplement for less than 4 nights: +10% of total. Q: We are a family of two adults & 2 children and want a two bedroom bungalow, how much will it cost? A: The minimum charge is for 4 adults so you would have to pay the full adult rate for all four of you. It would be more cost-effective to book a one bedroom as the children will only pay half of the adult rate. The Bungalows Q: How far are the bungalows away from the pools and can I stipulate where I want to be? A: All bungalows are a few minutes' walk (mainly all on the flat) of the pools and facilities. You can request to be nearer, or further away, and this will be, where possible, adhered to. Q: I am a wheelchair user, would I be able to use the bungalows? A: There are some bungalows, close to reception, which are specially adapted for wheelchair users. These are limited in number so please request well in advance. Q: Is linen and towels provided, and what about cleaning? A: Linen for all the beds is provided, and changed every four days. Towels are provided, except pool/beach towels, and changed daily. Daily cleaning is provided, with the exception of the kitchen and its utensils. Q: Is there a washing machine? A: Not in the bungalows: there are laundry and drying facilities on the complex. Q: Is there a telephone? A: There are telephones in each bungalow, which can be quite expensive, and you need to pay the bill at the end of your stay. There are payphones at reception: best bet for making calls is to get a calling card from town and use the payphones. Q: What channels are available on the television? A: There are a limited choice of free international satellite channels of which three are English (CNN, BBC World & Eurosport). Q: Is there somewhere to sit outside at the accommodation? A: All the units have a terrace or balcony (two & three bedroom ones have both) which are furnished to dine and sun bathe in. Q: Can we arrive at the property before 5pm, or depart after 10am? A: You may be able to access your accommodation earlier, depending on time of year and whether it is ready for you. Departure needs to be by 10am. In both cases, you may be able to use the facilities on the complex whilst waiting, as there is a store room by reception and plenty of changing facilities. Q: How do I get access due to a late flight? A: Reception is open twenty-four hours a day, so there will always be someone at hand to help you. Back to Top On-site Facilities Q: Do we have to pay anything extra to use the facilities? A: The rental price includes the use of all the facilities: there may be a minimal charge for certain extras but this is clearly represented. Q: What type of entertainment is offered? A: This depends on the programme set, and announced each day on a board at reception. During High season there are activities for roughly two hours in the morning, and another two in the afternoon, for six days a week: in the evening there is a kids' mini-disco. There is also entertainment during other periods such as Easter and other school holidays. For adults the entertainment is very low-key - this is, after all, a family resort! Back to Top Booking Q: How do I book? A: From the details page of the type of accomodation you want click on the booking link and put the start date and the number of nights: it will calculate the cost, in Euros (and Sterling equivalent), and proceed top book. Do not make travel arrangements until you have received confirmation from us. Q: What is the changeover day and can I book any number of days? A: You can arrive and depart any day, extra days charged pro-rata to the weekly rate: stays of less than one week are charged pro-rata and a small short-stay supplement (for example a one week rental in a two bedroom would be 412.30 Euros - four days would be 58.90 per day plus a supplement of 42.98, being 278.58 Euros in total). Q: Can I request a cot, hire chair, Z-bed, fans, extra cleaning or maid service? A: Yes, this needs to be done upon arrival: the latter for an extra charge. Q: Do I pay a damage deposit and when do I get it back? A: A 100 Euro damage deposit is required upon arrival and returned, provided there is no damage, upon departure. We ask holidaymakers to bring any damage to the attention of the reception staff, so that delays can be avoided in refunding any differences. Q: What happens after I have booked? A: You will receive a confirmation email, once we have received confirmation from Spain, and we charge your credit card 30% of the total: the balance to be paid upon arrival. We then send you, by post, a confirmation letter, with booking reference number, and instructions on how to get there, including maps. Back to Top Transport Q: How do I get to the resort in the first place? A: We can arrange airport transfers, or car-hire to collect/return from any of the nearest airports (Alicante or Valencia) details. Q: Do I need to hire a car? A: The complex provides a daily (except Sundays) free minibus (9 seater) service, for most of the year, which operates to and from the Hotel Esmerelda (nearby breach), port area, Calpe town and to the beaches every hour (10:00 to 13:30, 17:00 to 20:15). It is advisable to book the day before to guarantee a seat. A hire car is therefore not essential, to get around, but nevertheless recommended as you may want to explore the area independantly. Q: We are planning to drive down, is there parking? A: There is plenty of free parking: a small charge is made for underground parking. Back to Top Arrival Q: What do we do when we get there? A: Go to reception and give your booking reference number: they will request to see your passports, and payment of the balance, and any deposits. You will receive instructions to your accommodation, keys, and any relevant information. The staff speak several European languages so you won't have a problem being understood. You can always go back anytime to get advice and recommendations. Back to Top |
